Fundraising Manager

The Fundraising Manager  manages the day-to-day direct marketing programs of The Nature Conservancy in Hong Kong to meet goals of acquiring and retaining supporters for the organization while adhering to budget and timeframe guidelines. S/he works with the Director of Member Acquisition to plan and design direct marketing campaigns and to coordinate vendor relationships and ensure vendors deliver quality products that meet deadlines and budgets. S/he works with US-based membership staff to understand and implement Conservancy best practice direct marketing tactics and find synergies wherever possible. Proofreads and edits direct marketing materials (mail pieces, web and social media, brochures and other print materials, video) and ensures materials adhere to the Conservancy’s brand and messaging platform.

The Fundraising Manager works with  the Membership Data Manager and local vendors to ensure proper and secure transfer, reporting and analysis of Hong Kong supporter data.  Responds to questions, comments and concerns from local supporters via email and telephone. Conducts periodic trainings of local vendors about the Conservancy’s identity and conservation projects in Hong Kong. Does light digital and social media work in conjunction with digital vendor, including updating web pages and social media accounts geared toward current and potential supporters. Represents the Conservancy at periodic events, including inter-organizational fundraising meetings.

Ideal candidates must have a background that includes that shows the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field and minimum 7 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience supervising and managing staff and teams.
  • Experience cultivating and managing client relationships.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects, including measuring results of strategic plans and programs
